I had lipo on my back  flanks at the the same  time I had a back lift and the results are awesome.
I don't know about lipo alone and I did have to wear a compression garment , I had no problems or issues with my back & no pain at all,, bruising was tuff looked like somebody stepped on me & kicked me

arms - I had my arms done in Nov, check out my pix, i have had it all done and the arms were the easiest after the first 3 days I was driving, not able to lift anything over 2 lbs, my scars are beautiful they are on the botttom side of my arms from elbow to about 6 inches below the arm pit,
Good Luck to you

Ah, so you didn't have JUST lipo alone.  Your extra skin was lifted at the same time.  That's a whole different story.  I thought we were talking about lipo alone.

I also had just tumescent lipo on my upper abdomen above my belly button & I have had no problems, that was 6 months ago, so what is so horrible about it?
, I was done by my board certified PS.I was  done  in a hospital O.R.I was not done at a medi spa or those places that buy lipo machines and etach anybody how to use them. they do lunch time Lipo. I would beware of those places.

I had lipo when I had my brachioplasty to make my arms more shapely.  I love the way my arms look.  I had pretty bad excess skin removed.  4 lbs from my arms only.  Mhy scars don't look bad but they are pretty extensive.  They run from my elbow to my arm pit and then underneath and up my back an inch.  But if you don't need that much work done, your scars will be much better.  The lipo wasn't so bad.  Post op I have to say that was the only discomfort I had.  But it's totally bearable!  Please don't be afraid to have it if your surgeon feels you need it for the best result.  There are bad outcomes with every procedure.  It doesn't mean you will have a bad outcome also.  Complications are possible with tummy tucks too as well as every other procedures.  I was out of work for 8 weeks, but I had an extended TT with hernia repair also with my brachioplasty.

12/09 and 6/11, 9 skin removal procedures with Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico
Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.

thank you so much for your reply.
I had my tt in Aug 09, and i ended up with a blood clot, but the pain was not
bad.  I feel positive and I am not looking to have the arms of an 15 year old,
but the hanging skin bother me.

i am still waiting for the first poster to come and and tell us about her outcome.

I have been on here for about two years, for every negative experience, there are five positive
ones.

everyday we wake up, we take chances.

I will not say I am not afraid, but I can get thought this.

I have had Lipo on my flanks and an arm lift.  The Dr went down my sidw to bra level and then used that incision t tighten up the skin that he sucked out from the flanks.  It was unconfortable but nothing like the TT.   You have already had this done, so no worries.  It is very worth it.  I had have every plastic surgery( post weight loss) well I think I have had most of them.  I would do it all again.  Yes there are scars but it is better than hagging gross skin, ( mine was very ugly)

Hi there,
I had lipo on my flanks, back, and thighs. I bruised real bad but it got better. I am still pretty numb in the lower back. The swelling was real bad starting about 1-1.5 week out and is now just starting to go down but a little lumpy which I am told is normal at my All that said, I can really tell a difference from before and glad I did it.

Thank you Jodie O
When I wanted to have my tt, I came to here and members Like Jodie O, Cleos Mom, Tammygiirl and Moosie and even doctor L help guide me thought everything.  I am so thankful to these member who answers my many questions, help get prepare for everything.  they  have had  positive outcomes and given good information to help me make an informed choice.

when we are contemplating these procedures there are so many variables that could go right
and that could go wrong.

I am blessed to wake up this morning and I think long and hard about all the outcomes.
my family has told me that this surgery is not necessary and I do not need to have it.  But unless you have had weight loss surgery, you may not understand what we have been thru.

I am taking one day at a time, and trying to prepare for this procedure and the healing process afterwards.  I guess I am no diff rent that anyone else here.

Jodie O your comment about what you sister has experience has put things in prospective for me. (thank you)
