update on Tammy in ICU
She is still on ventilators still intubated. She looks better than yesterday and the nurses said that the doctor came in last night like he owned the place asking once again everyone leave so he ''Could Change Her Dressing.''
On the day of surgery the o2 machine was not showing any level. So it showed no oxygen in her blood. Many things can cause his. however, when you have a patient under during surgery it is a problem!!!!!
So after surgery the doctor comes in tells everyone she is great, things went smooth, lets get her in the car....
Her husband mean while, was worried and told the doctor " She looks bad." the doctor replies by saying the meds well take care of everything, go home let her rest!!!!
5 hours later she needed to use the bathroom, under her breath she said "Call the doctor I can't breath." so the plastic doc says " it's normal, it's the meds blah blah blah..........
10 minutes later, she was on the bathroom floor, in a pool of her own blood and vomit. The Ambulance took her to the hospital, she was admitted right away....
Tammy's brother in law is a doctor, he calls the hospital and says " Please!!! Don't make any decisions until I arrive, I will be there in 15 minutes.''
The poor little doctor working the floor that night. he just graduated and completed his residency. at that same hospital is one the phone listening to his instructions.
From what I'm told he says" Doctor, with all do respect, we are losing her, she won't make it another 5 minutes."
So via the cell phones they both went through inflating her lungs and placing the stints....They could have probably went without the phone conversion. but this family is so close knit he wouldn't of had it any other way!!!!!!!
That doctor saved her life!!!!! We all have hugged him at one point or another. Her husband even bear hugged him... that is it so far.
I have been thinking about all of us every day. This was a women who was supposed to have been in some wonderful hands. And received this outcome from a BA/bl.......We are all soo lucky, she is in ICU..... they won't know how much loss if any of brain activity she has for months down the road.
Thanks friends for your prayers........

Thanks for updating us. I've been thinking of you all and hoping she is improving.
Thank you for the update Jennifer. Of course you have to be very careful in mentioning names, but could you at least say whether or not this ps has a "private" practice, or is he with a group? I would love to know that.
Tammy is definitely in my prayers, and I'm SO glad to hear that she's continuing to progress!
Blessings,
Rose
