I need your help ba/bl on Friday!!!!!
OK I took my shower yesterday all was well....today I went to take another, when I UN rapped my right breast started dripping brown like a brown sugar color with a pinkish fluid. I continued with my shower, then called my doc. He said that since I'm taking the antibiotics, and have no fever, it sounds like just normal drainage. Nonetheless, he said he wanted to culture the fluid to check for infection. It has been sore and hurting since day 2....I'm scared. whats going on peeps. It is a little red, and I massage it in the shower and after to milk all the crap out!!!! It feels so good for like 4 hours then pain again......
my right breast looks really good with nooooooo draining at all.....

I had a similar discharge from my belly button when I had my gallbladder out... it was a seroma. Everything was fine for some days, then I felt pressure around my incision that ran over my belly button. I pushed on it a little and it started gushing out (TMI, I know, I apolgize).
Didn't end up being any big deal, but it scared the holy hell out of me because there was a lot of it. It went on for a week or so, just had to put a dressing over it to catch the drainage. I don't know if that sort of thing happens with surgery on breasts, but I know it's common with stomach surgeries.
Hope everything is ok!

The drainage color doesn't sound that unusual. You can have a seroma following a BL, but those don't happen often. I wouldn't be overly aggressive in massaging the area, because that can cause more inflammation - go easy on the wound and sutures. Check back with the doctor, especially since it is red. While infection while on abx is unlikely, it can happen if you have a bacteria that is not susceptible to the drug you are taking. The big other thing is to try and relax a bit because the anxiety only worries you more and that stress can delay healing. It is not unusual for these types of wounds to leak for several days - use some gauze or ABD pad, or sanitary pad to absorb the draining.
Yeah Jene called she said doctor Lee is out the whole week I need the stitches removed. No big deal I will go my guy I guess. Anyhow, Yeah it feels good when that stuff drains out. It wants out. I will watch today and if I get a fever I will go to Kaiser. I called them they said they would culture it and go from there.
