cellulitis and infection
I started having redness and swelling day before yesterday in the area of my tt between my bb and my drain incisions. Went to my PS yesterday and continued the cipro, started on clindamycin. Today it is worse. Started bactrim with it but am allergic so it is bothering me. I go back tomorrow for re-eval with her partner because she will be out of town. Very upset and emotional right now. So ready to be back to myself and be mom again.
I hope and pray I don't have to go in for IV antibiotics.

I caught a nasty bug, likely staph, from my hospital when I had my c-section in June. I was readmitted on IV antibiotics and went through the first leg of your journey. Thankfully I didn't have to come home with home health. It just is not a fun experience by any means. The hospital did give me excellent follow up care and wrote off my readmission after insurance. Overall, it is an experience I chalk up to live and learn. Very grateful that it is not the case this go round!

Did your doctor circle the area that is red ? If he didn't then you should have someone go out and buy a surgical pen to circle the area so his partner can see how fast it is spreading.
My husband was in the hospital with a fever of 105 and his cellutitis was spreading fast. Six days in the hospital on IV antibiotics.
Take extra precautions and keep family and friends away from you.

That's a really smart suggestion.
