Swelling feels different last couple of weeks...
So, most all my swelling has subsided with exception to my back and tummy above the incision line. Before my swelling was kind of spongish but now it seems to be more on the hard side. Is this normal for swelling? I had c-section 21 years ago so dont remember the stages of swelling. I hope its not remaining fat since I was pretty flat day after surgery before swelling started in the area. I dont see more swelling in the morning vs evening....just pretty much the same for the most part which is why I am ditching my CG. I am trying out 24 hours without it.....so we will see. I am also getting a lymphatic massage on Sat. maybe that will help...
Any advice is appreciated.

**EDITED**
Fast forward to tonight.....
So all I have to say is holy smokes I don't have a clue about what to expect with this swelling thing! Grrrrr...So now I know what 24 hours out of my garmnent looks/feels like! I am going to stick it out over night and see if it goes down..if not...I will have to pull on the body glove again 'cause it is sooo uncomfortable tonight! I haven't been this swollen since 2-3 weeks out.

I really have no idea --- just thinking out loud here ---- do you think you had a small seroma that's now gone and what you're left with is true swelling? Seroma would be squishy. I was so flat for first 3 weeks and now I have a overhang just about horizontal TT scar. So much better than what I had pre-PS but hope it goes away, I loved the flat, flat tummy. I am only 3 weeks out.

Funny you should post this because I was wondering the same thing this morning. Our surgeries were around the same time (I'm three months out) and over the past few days I've noticed that the swelling in my stomach is harder than it was before. My stomach also seems a little bigger that it has been for most of the past three months, and I too was thinking to myself "I hope this isn't fat!".
I'm still wearing my compression garment, mainly because I have a bunch of open wounds so the garment keeps all the bandages in place. Haven't tried to go without it yet, other than for a few hours at night.
I can't offer any advice to you but perhaps that this is somewhat normal since we're both dealing with it. ??

I do find that when I lightly massage them they feel better but they are still very numb and even "lumpy" in spots and I had the lipo on my arms done last July! I'm telling you, lipo takes a loooooong time to recover from. I'm so glad I didn't have it with my TT or LBL and hope there won't be any with the inner thighs.

I know you posted this a long time ago... how did it all turn out? I am almost 3 months out and look EXACTLY like you do in this pic! The little swollen "ridge" shows up under my clingy clothes and I feel worse off than before my TT with muscle repair. Did your ridge go away? Did yo do anything to help it? Would love to see current pics!
I know the original post is old but I have the exact same issue and wanted to let you know you aren't alone.
I am 6 weeks post op from a tummy tuck and stopped wearing my binder a week ago. I find that by the end of the day my stomach is hard, swollen and bulges above the incision line.
My surgeon said this was normal and I am wearing my binder at night. I find is I eat and drink alot the swelling is more as well.

Did you send that picture to your surgeon? What did he have to say? Mine never looked like that.
