Surgery in 2 days: Sore Throat, Mild Cough, No Fever, No Chills

So here I lay at 3AM in the morning stressing myself out.

I get a good amount of dust in my little house because of the location that I am in.  I was "nesting" over the weekend by cleaning and doing laundry to get my place ready and by Sunday evening I had a mild sore throat.

I woke up yesterday still with a very mild sore throat and a little cough.

I don't have a fever - I don't have chills.  I don't see anything white on the back of my throat and have an annoying scratchy throat and a dry cough that doesn't keep me up all night or annoy my co-workers.  So overall I do feel well...

I'm told there is a high pollen count in the air and that I probably kicked up a lot of dust when cleaning so that's possibly what my issues are.

Would my surgery need to be rescheduled for these issues???

I started this process just about 2 years ago and I would be sooooooooo bummed if I had to reschedule yet once again.

Thanks!

I had this same thing happen with my RNY.  They went ahead with surgery and just ordered nebulizer breathing treatments for the first 48hours.
Good Luck!

it depends what type of surgery your having,,,if its a tummy tuck you dont want to develope a cough.....but if you do use a pillow to hold on to if you cough.......good luck patty
