BL? BL/BA? BR?

As I am in the researching phase I am reading more and more about BL/BA/BR. I don't know which one would apply to me best. I know of course the surgeon is going to give his/her recommendations but I would like an idea of what PS I need before consults. How do I know if I just need a lift?  Or if I need a reduction? I am trying to look at Before and Afters to see what looks the most like what I have now and what I want but still very confused. How did you guys figure it out? Any suggestions?

Going into it I knew I needed a lift -- I was hoping that I would have enough tissue to not need augmentation.  As it turned out -- I was able to get a lift and I did not need augmentation.  I am very pleased with my results.  I think your surgeon is going to be your best source of information.

Thanks. Yeah I know the girls need to be lifted from belly button height. I guess I am just not sure if a lift alone is enough and still give a full look. I still stuff the girls into DD bras and spill over in D's. It's just not a nice full fit. A saggy skin filling whatever shape you put it in fit. Blah. So I have room to reduce since I don't mind being a C/D once my tummy is gone. Guess I am gonna keep it open til I hear back what the Dr's think.

Surprising I ended up wearing the same size bra after the lift as I did before. But you are right it depends on how much tissue you have. I think a huge factor is what your expectations are. My surgeon did not even want to consider augmentation at the same time as the lift. He felt that should I decide I needed augmentation I would get better results once the lift was done and we could see those results. So while cost may be a factor - it does not have to be all done at the same time.

Yeah cost is a factor. Plus time off of work. I would love to get it all done in one surgery. I am thinking more and more I will consider that I am getting a lift and see if the Dr recommends aug too based off of the photos I show for what I want my afters to look like. Thanks!

IT depends on how much breast tissue you have. I had enough to go to a full B small C. I was fine with that so I just got a lift.

Did Dr S tell you over email after seeing photos if he thought you would have enough tissue or was that something he told you during the mark ups?  Thanks!

He told me when he saw my pics. HE said he of course would confirm this when he saw me but it worked. I definitely don't have huge boobs but I am happy with them.

I just got the lift without implants.  I was like you, a DD before surgery.  After the lift I'm a D.  And they look GREAT!!  They seriously look like I got implants, they are amazing.  I'm so thrilled with them!!!  I'm glad I didn't go with implants, I would have been TOO big.  I was really hoping I'd end up a C, you can find cuter bras in a C...but they look so amazing I don't even care they are still D's!

Wow thanks! And you are soo right!  All the cuter bras end in C. I have just always been D-DD so I dunno what I would look like a C. And it is hard to tell with the big saggy tummy in the way that I want gone too.
