Wish I'd thought of this sooner ... Swelling Resolved.

The little fellow to the left of the title isn't trying to vomit -- he's blushing crimson.

I've had major swelling issues ... even worsening ones ... since my LBL last July.  For some reason, it occurred to me that I might try a more-snug Flexees garment and see what happened.  I wear a size 8-10, which is medium, and medium had been what I was wearing.

So I ordered the Flexees Singlet Firm in a SMALL . . . .

Omigosh, what a tremendous difference.  At the end of a big day yesterday ... NO PAIN.

And NO SWELLING.

I feel like such a dufus ... I don't know why I didn't try this sooner.  But I'm posting it because maybe this will be useful to someone else.

If you find that you have major swelling issues ... and you've been wearing a "garment" to prevent swelling ... you might want to try a smaller one.

This worked for me!

(I might even try an extra small and see if that helps even more)

I have different sizes of garments as well.  Some days it takes a team of four and a bottle of liquor to get me in the smallest one, but like you said, it does its job!
Happy shrinking!

Just discovered this company does not make an XS ... probably normal women who are sized xs do not need such a garment!

lol @ team of four and bottle of liquor -- when struggling to get these things on I often think back to what it must have been like to get me into one on the operating table ... wet and unconscious.  Blech!!!

Untrue.  I wear XS on the bottom and S on top.

maidenform.com

You have to order them online because the outlet and retail stores get few, if any, smalls or extra smalls. Especially the beautiful, vibrant ones like red or purple. I got this advice from the Maidenform outlets at Camarillo and the Citadel.

If you like other brands, TJ Maxx tends to have the best selection in smaller sizes.

Alas, the particular thingie that I like (singlet) is not manufactured in XS, though they must have some others in that size.

I love ordering directly from maidenform -- usually I can find an online coupon, and no shipping, and no tax -- YAY

I just had a full day of working on my feet, and ordinarily I would be swollen and in pain right now (even wearing a size m flexees) ... and I feel fantastic, unswollen, and normal.

I dearly wish I had thought of this, oh .... about five months ago!
