I have not updated my recovery from the LBL in a while so I thought I'd do so as I'm laying here recovering from my face-lift.
I had the TT done in Sept....I'm THRILLED with the results. The incisions are beautiful and healing nicely. My waist is so tiny (can't believe I can say that). I think I have a nice shape mainly due to the Anchor Cut (and of course the skill of my surgeon). I never had any swelling to speak of from the TT. I have a vein that actually grew into the incision around/below the belly button so the surgeon with inject it during my next procedure so it disappears....no big deal. An updated 5 month post-op picture is posted (Friends can see it)
I had the rest of the LBL (Butt and Outer Thighs) done on Dec 2nd. Boy did I swell up after this surgery but I'm so glad that ALL the swelling from this is gone now. YIPPEE!!! The incisions all look great and are healing really nicely. I can't believe how smooth my outer thighs are....no more saddle bags! I had the "flap augmentation" done on my butt so that I would not end up with a flat butt. I think I'm glad I did it but it's still healing. I did develop a hematoma on the right butt cheek (it is not near the incision) which ended up having to be cut out and quite the mess. We (well, Matthew) have to do wet/dry packing twice a day and it's still a big hole....like the size of 1/2 a hard boiled egg! I've had many, many surgeries and this is the only real complication I've had....totally freaky how and were it happened but it is what it is and we are dealing with it. I'll probably have a skin graft done when I have my Inner Thighs done at the end of March.
Sooooo to wrap it up. I LOVE all my results and am looking forward to the next and last procedure (other any revisions) so I can be done with all this surgery and recovery stuff and just enjoy my life in my new healthy body.
WAHOO!!! Life is grand....

Hi Lynn,
I no numbness in the Breasts, I still very tight in my stomach but don't think it's really numb anymore (I had no lipo done with my TT).
FYI - I had aggressive Lipo done on my arms back in July and they are still numb! I think whenever/wherever lipo is done the healing takes much, much longer!!!
My Butt lift which was only 2 months ago is still numb in some areas (but I had the flap augmentation with my own tissue so I think that is what is causing the weird/numb feeling).
Hope that helps....
Ruth
