I took almost two weeks off.
You can't drive for almost that long. Well, I couldn't.

I had surgery on Thursday and felt well enough to return the Tuesday after (I felt ok Monday but had drains in, they were removed that Monday). HOWEVER I would recommend you take at least 1 full week off..... 2 weeks if you can.
Hello All,
On Feb. 1, 2010 I had Abdominalplasty and Breast Reduction. Insurance paid for BR but I had to pay for TT. Being that my job is pretty physical I told my doctor I would need the full 6 wks to recover for my breast. Now I know Short Term Dis. only approves 2wks at a time but are they going to try to force me back to work before the 6 wks? My breast are still pretty sore and feel heavy at times but it is my TT that is pretty painful. I am still taking pain med for TT pain it is no joke. The doctor removed 6 1/2 lbs. from stomach and approx. 3 1/4 lbs.from breast.
I am 14 days post op and my drain from the TT is still putting out 80-90ccs a day. My doctor said the drain has to come out at 2 wks no matter what. So I am really nervous about fluid build up.
Also I wanted to ask does anyone wear the spanx for support along with or instead of the binder?
Sorry for so many questions but this was a major undertaking for me and I just want to make sure I get the best benefits for all that I had done so I welcome any suggestions.
Thanks,
Carmen
