Hi All,

I really have no idea what to expect afterwards with my TT.  I'm  also having a TT and breast lift/implants at the same time...Can anyone try and explain what I should expect ? How bad is the pain ? Will I be able to move around or will I be completely helpless ? Do I need a lift chair and raised tiolet seat ? I can't sleep in my bed, because it's upstairs and I can't walk up the stairs according to my doctor for 5 days so I'm wondering about a lift chair ? I'm very active in the gym working out 5 days a week and it is going to kill me not to be able to exercise :-( People tell me because I'm active and in decent physical shape I will recover quickly ? IS this true ? I appreciate any feedback folks can share with me about what to expect, because I'm very nervoous ...Thanks

Aww I know how scared and nervous you are I had a Lower Body lift with tummy tuck and and a breast lift with implants. I am in pretty good physical shape. You will be able to move around however getting in and out of bed sitting up etc is hard at first using those muscles hurts.
I am three months out now and pretty much back to normal wa normal at about a month but still don't have all the feeling in my nipples back but it gets better everyday.
You will be fine with the toilet and if you have a recliner that is good to sleep in I slept in my bed and just needed help to get up or I wold roll to one side it can be done.

Best wishes you will do great and it is worth it.

Cheers

Hey Maureen, I noticed you said that the sensation in your nipples hasn't completely returned.  This is the one thing that really concerns me about having my breasts messed with, but they need it.  Do you know if this is common and whether it's temporary or permanent.

Hey Laura ,

I know it is common to lose feeling for awhile many friends of mine have stated it took a year to come back, however it is a side affect that can happen to lose all feeling and sensation in the nipples it is a chance you take- I don't think it is very common for that to happen but be aware that it can. I too was really nervous about this and am glad that the feeling is starting to return but even if it didn't it was something I was willing to give up because I needed it sooo bad.

Best wishes to you

I had a breast reduction/lift back in December.  My nipples are still sensitive - and overall my breasts are still sensitive.  I still wear a bra to bed because of the sensitivity.  But they are much better.  I would be concerned if I had a lack of sensitivity.  I know that they will eventually be normal though so I'm not concerned.

It sounds to me like you won't have problems getting up and down, as active as you are.  I'm a "Curves" girl and had no problem with bed or toilet after my TT.  I slept on my back with a large pillow elevating my knees for the first few weeks and this took the strain off my tummy.  I had arms at the same time, and they were what really knocked the wind out of my sails - very hard recovery for me, but the tummy was easy.  I thought I'd miss the exercise, but did not, didn't even feel like I could go bac****il week 7.  I did walk though, starting about week 3. Good luck!!

I actually had my arms done a year ago and I had no pain at all I was amazed.... Your right I probably won't miss the exercise, but I do plan to walk as much as possible..I've been told the more I walk the faster I will heal. Thank you so much for sharing with me ;-)
