If you had plastics with Dr. S in Mexico, I need your advice
Hi, I am new to this board and I am considering getting plastics, but I cant afford the local doctors. My choices are to not do plastics or look outside the country. I am a bit torn about which way to go. I am a lightweight and "only" lost about 90 lbs. I need a tt and bl. I have read a number of great things about Dr. S in Mexico. What was your experience like? If you had any problems, I really want to hear about them. I have two little children, and I really can't afford major complications, so please be honest. Also, if you could tell me how much you paid, I would really appreciate it.
Hey I went to LapSF too, but Dr. Jossart. I just love him and my VSG. I also have a body by Dr. Sauceda from MX. You can find a lot of info about him, personal recounts of experience, references and pictures of his results on the board for his patients here on OH:
www.obesityhelp.com/group/Dr_Sauceda_Patients/discussion/ .
Also several of his patients are writing blogs:

I would also recommend that you look through my most recent posts as I had surgery on Jan. 9th. I too am a light weight and really didn't "need" PS but wanted it to look my best. There was no way I could have afforded to get what I had done in the US. I went through some rough patches over the past month but I'm almost 6 weeks out and am liking my results.
I paid @ 12K for my procedures by Dr. S. I paid 5K for my mini face lift alone in the US. If you go to his website he actually has pricing listed but not for every different combo. www.medicaltourism.com.mx/page9.php
You need to be aware that there is a risk of complications no matter where you have surgery. You can read about some of those on both this board and Dr. S's board. This is definitely not risk free. The most common is Seroma. I was lucky and healed with out any complications but many many people do develop Seromas however they are usually only an annoyance and go away shortly.
Dr. S is wonderful person and has a ton of experience with weight loss patients for such a young Dr. I will be posting pics of my results soon for my OH friends.
Good luck with your decision.

Also keep in mind going out of the country isn't your only other option...you could look into a Residency program. I know there are plenty here on the board who have done that and been VERY happy with it! You might try looking in your area and seeing if that is an option. It would keep you closer to home and your kids if there is one by you.
