BCBS Federal
They only covered my panniculectomy portion of my surgery, which amounted to about $1800. My surgeon billed $5000 for the panni and they paid 1800. Insurances don't pay the anesthesia portion if you have multiple procedures done. If I had the panni done alone, they would have paid the entire cost, which would have been more like $9,000.

I have Fed BCBS and they denied the first submission for my panni. I was assured by the Dr's office they would pay - so we'll see if the Dr's office can get them too.... I do hope so, I wasn't prepared to pay the entire cost of the TT.
They don't pay for the LBL or BL/BA - only for a panniculectomy. If you call them, they'll tell you they don't pay for any of it. The Dr's office needs to KNOW how to bill it.
