To all those who have had the upper and/or lower Bleph done....how bad was it?
How bad is the pain....do I need to plan on just taking pain meds so I can sleep for a couple of days.
Seriously how many "bad" days is it? Are you feeling better the next day, is it 2 days, 3 days, longer?
I'm having mine done on Monday....somewhat excited about it but rather nervous today that the pain will be miserable.
Set me straight......
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the kind words on the picture...
I had just the uppers done and it was fairly painfree. The procedure was around 30 minutes total. I went home with bandaged and icepacks on my eyes. I believe I could take the bandages off within a few hours but had to keep icing regularly the first few days.
The bruising I had wasn't bad at all. I didn't have any under my eyes (but then I didn't have the lowers done). The uppers had some bruising that was pretty much gone about 10 days or so out. I remember going to a pro baseball game about a week out and wearing sunglasses the whole time.
It's something that makes such an immediate difference to something everyone see of you all the time. Most of the procedures we get done are things covered by clothes and people for the most part either know because they are told, or they don't. With the eyes.... I had people first say "what's different" and then either figure it out or I had to tell them.

Thanks fo sharing your experience. It makes me feel a little less nervous.....
I had upper and lower done at the same time I did my thighs. I noticed a change in the upper right away. I did have some swelling and bruising but after a week I was able to go out without looking weird. I still haven't noticed a difference in my lower eyes. They have to be redone. As far as pain, I took some pain meds for a couple days due to the thighs but my eyes didn't really hurt. I had to use an ointment for the first week and it worked its way into my eyes and clouded my vision some but never hurt. I wasn't able to do much tv or reading for a few days but it was not a bad experience at all.

Hi Ruth!
How are you holding up? I have been thinking about you today. I'm excited for you and can't wait to know you are on the other side of it and on to healing. I'll call tomorrow evening to check on you. I can give a little update here if you'd like. I know you'll be fine, you're in good hands.
Best wishes to you!
