Face Lift anyone
Hi there,
I am scheduled for a full face-lift on the 25th, with some laser work as well. Has anyone had a face-lift done, and can you please kinda clue me in on what to expect? Is it painful? Can you please talk to me about the drain tube? Does it hurt when it's removed? Any words would be so much appreciated.
Thanks!!
DEB

Hi Deb...
I had a lower face lift ( you can see my before and after pics) and have been thrilled with the result...
As for the pain, each of us obviously have different degrees of pain tolerance but honestly the pain wasnt that bad at all. I think I took pain meds for a day or two after the surgery then went straight to tylenol.
as for the drains, I had two of them that excited from the back on my neck..when they were removed it was a good thing I was in the hospital bed b/c i almost fainted. dont want to scare you at all about that, but it was very uncomfortable. ask your nurse what time she expects the docs to make rounds, then take a few pain pills an hour or two b/4 he comes in if you can. once the drains were out, its so much better.
i love my results and sooooooooo happy i had the surgery. the swelling and bruising can be a little intense initially but all of that goes away. just follow your post op instructions closely.
i would also suggest that you take a few snacks for you to the hospital if you cant eat sugar. i took some of my sugar free puddings/jellos with me so that i could have something to snack on, as well as something to take when i had my pain pills....many places dont have a lot of sugar free stuff on their floors..
good luck and keep us posted!
