Anyone else??
I am two months out from my Panni removal with TT and muscle repair. I still have ALOT of pain when I sneeze or try to do any core exercises. It is like a burning across my abdomin right below my rib cage. When I sneeze it almost makes me want to cry. I have a very high pain threshhold and am concerned that this is still hurting so badly. The PS doesnt seem to concerned, but I am just wondering does anyone else have this pain or anything similiar? Anyone further out, when did you start to feel better in this area? TIA!! Jen Q.
Jen, I still have alot of soreness around the belly button at about 2 and a half months out. I had an anchor cut TT, muscle repair and extended on the sides. Every time I turn over in the bed, I feel it all around the belly button. It hurts sometimes when I sneeze, too. I'm not trying to do core exercises yet, don't think I'm ready for that. I was doing Pilates pretty good before surgery, but going to wait awhile on that.
I'm not in real pain, but it sure is sore still! I wish you the best and hope your pain ends soon.

Hi Jennifer.
I'm 5 months out and still feel very tight and if I sneeze and don't bend over it feels sore.
FYI - I don't think you should be doing core exercise at this point. Did your surgeon say it's ok? Also, you just had all the muscles tightened....crunches really won't make a difference at this point. (I have not done a single crunch since my TT)
I had a very bad pain at week 6 when I strained the muscles after a cardio workout. Ice packs really helped me. I wrapped an icepack in a kitchen towel and then wrapped my binder around it to hold it on. worked well for me.
Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Ladies. Ruth, I kinda feel like my PS doesnt really care at this point. I dont know, if it is ok, because when I asked somehow the subject got changed and he never really answered. Then when I emailed about the pain he said that is "normal" as long as it fades after a few minutes. I actually think I may have pulled something on the right side. I am going to re-email him, because my right side hurts to touch. It wasnt like that 2 weeks ago. I wasnt doing any serious core exercises, just a few Wii things, but couldnt even finish them. He said I could exercise after my last apt. I just didnt ask if there were limitations on those exercises. I think my body is telling me there is. Well, thanks again for you feed back.
My muscles were sore for a few months. I didn't do any core wor****il I was at least 3 months and the only reason why I did is because I take a couple of gym classes a week and they always do ab work towards the end so I do it to blend in. Even when I did start, I took it easy and really didn't focus on that part so much because like Moosie said, our abs are as tight as they are gonna get! I quit using the ab weight machine too. I focus on all the other muscles. Just take it easy and listen to your body. If it hurts, stop and wait a while before you try it again.
