Tummy tuck or panni after a band
Hi Everyone,
I am new to this board and have a question that I didn't think to ask my doctor when I was in his office.
I am going through the insurance process to have the Realize band put on. Only one more weigh in. YAY! This question may sound stupid, but can you have a TT or Panni after a band procedure? I didn't know because of the port. This is something that I will definetly need after surgey. Any info is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Laura

Hi Laura,
No question is ever stupid here, Laura. Please always feel free to ask away. We all try to help any way we can. Yes, you can have any type of surgery with the band. I had a circumferential body lift with no problems. Just be sure your plastic surgeon is knowledgeable on the relocation of a port because he will likely need to remove it from the fascia in order to tighten the muscles and reattach it. My band doc gave me his cell phone number to give to my PS in case he had any questions in surgery, although he knows the PS and is comfortable with his experience. (I think it was more a comfort thing he did for me.) I am so happy I had the lap band surgery and plastics. I'm seven weeks out from my LBL/BL and looking back on what I used to look like now seems like I'm looking at a stranger.
Best of Luck in your Journey.
Terri
