I'm sure it's been asked before, so I apologize if I'm asking a repeat question, but what I've found my searching for previously asked questions is that the people who answered at that time aren't logging in anymore so additional questions go unanswered... so here I go...

I had a c-section with my son. I was cut up and down, from my belly button to my...well, you know... What I'm wanting to know, is if there's anyone who's had a c-section and was cut the same way who has also had a tummy tuck who can give me some opinions on how they compare, pain wise...

I've heard a tummy tuck is awful...

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've had two C-sections...just low bikini cut ones, not cut up and down like you.  I had a LBL with anchor cut and BL 2 1/2 weeks ago.  And the pain was very similar, I can't say one was worse than the other.  My pain with this surgery has been VERY minimal.  I would  say more uncomfortable than pain really.  Don't panic, it's totally manageable!!  Perhaps most people who say it's terrible have never had a c-section so don't the kind of sensation to expect???  And again, everyone is different and every surgery is different.  But i'd think you would do fine!

I had two vertical incision c-sections and had a circumferential lower body lift on 12/11.  It's hard to really remember the pain of childbirth, but I think my emergency c-section after 27 hours of labor (my first) was worse than the pain of the LBL.  The worse pain, in my opinion, is not the incisions, it's the muscle tightening.  I also had lipo which added an entirely different level of pain, and may be hard to differentiate between the between the muscle pain vs. the lipo pain.

I don't think it's any worse, and the surgical binder certainly brought back memories.  Good Luck. I'm sure you will do well.

It's not how fast you go, but that you're moving in the right direction!

I had the vertical c-section as well and I think the pain is similar.  To me the worst pain was always getting up for the first time...ouch!    It really gets easier after the first couple of days.   The pain from my LBL really wasn't as bad as I expected and I had lipo, fat graph AND butt auto augmentation.  It really is individual as I'm sure you know but I'm sure you'll be fine!
