I had surgery Jan. 9th mini tt, lipo all over torso, back, thighs and inner knees, fat grafting Brazilian butt lift, BL/BA. I took my drain out yesterday (I only had one) which I had for 3 weeks but was still draining a fair amount (about 45cc) but it fell apart (long story) so just took it out.  Doc said ok after 50ccs or less but I wanted to wait until under 35ccs, oh well, I am going to will myself not to get a seroma.

Anyway, I wear my stage 1 compression garment 24/7 except when I shower and am wonder when I should go to stage 2.  I'm still pretty swollen in my lower back and lower stomach and I don't feel any reduction in size in my thighs so I'm hoping they are still swollen, they are still sore.  So when should I go to stage 2 garment?  I guess I will need something that will go down to my calves since I had lipo on my knees.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I had my LBL/BL on December 11.  At my follow up on January 19, my doc told me I could stop wearing the binder if I wanted and switch to any form of compression garment I felt comfortable with, even bike shorts.  I use a mid-thigh, mid-waist compression garment I got at Target (Sarah Blakely Assets) for $20.

Tamara:  I had surgery the 7th and ordered stage 2 garments from makemeheal.com last week.  I got the one that goes from under the bust to midcalf--which is what I had as stage 1.

I ordered them now because I had the long thigh lift and my current compression garment is so loose in the thigh it actually wrinkles.  They say the garment helps with the swelling and prevents the skin from bagging, so I thought it was worth the price $139 X 2 as I don't plan to have this thigh lift revised.  You can get a discount code from them for a 5% discount which ends up covering a little more than the shipping.

My left thigh felt so much better when I took out that last drain.  I think it was actually working its way out on its own.  I'm sure you're glad to be drain free.

Hey Lin, good to hear from you!  So what brand did you order, did you get it yet and try it on?  My stage 1 Veronique (or whatever) is still fairly snug but I want to make sure I get the best results as well.  I had lipo on my thighs, they don't seem any smaller and even a bit bigger so I'm hoping they are still swollen.  Let me know what you think of your stage 2 as I will also need down to mid-calf.

I ordered the veronique from makemeheal.com.  Everyone said  to order the same size as stage I as it fits snugger.  I did not find that to be true and wish I had ordered one size down.

I was wondering about that too... I looked at the makemeheal site too and there was not alot of selection. Can anyone suggest a comfortable compression garment for boobs, belly and butt?

Thanks Jodi, sounds like a sensible plan.  May I ask, did you have any liposuction?  I have and I want to make sure I get the best results.
