11 days out - inner thigh grief

At 6 days out, my husband noticed a small opening at the incision in my groin, right at the junction of the incisions at my groin & inner thigh. We let the surgeon's office know. They squeezed me in two days later, told me to keep a gauze with bleach/water solution on it at all times. I'd come back the following week to be stitched. By Thursday night, it opened up significantly more and was bleeding a lot. My surgeon asked me to come in Friday at 11:15, at which time he sutured my thigh. That was rather unpleasant, but I was very relieved. He wants to see me back on Wednesday, though I may go back sooner to get my drains removed.I will be even more relieved when these incisions heal up. My tummy and breasts are healing just fine. I've lost 10# of swelling since surgery, but am still a bit swollen.

Overall, I'm happy with my healing, my results thus far and my surgeon.

So glad the thigh didn't turn into anything major.  I hear having a stitch or two pop in the groin area is fairly common.
Sounds like you have had great results..that's fantastic!!
WOW 10lbs of swelling down, that's awesome!  I'm about 7 weeks ago and still pretty swollen in my butt (Tummy is not bad at all).  I'm only up 4 lbs since my pre surgery weight and with all the holiday goodies and my swelling that's not bad (I guess).

Best wish on a smooth recovery!!

Openings suck, I know from personal experience. Hang in there, it does get better!

I'm 16 days from my small lift and have had openings on both legs.  The right leg has closed and is healing back fine.  The left leg still has a little bit more to go.  It's not so much an opening but a slight seperation in stitching.  I've sent pics to my surgeon and he says it's nothing to worry about and should be fine.  Now I see that it's pretty common.
