Insurance and arm lift
Did anyone get insurance to pay for their arm lift? If so what was the criteria? Also what about breast reduction, do insurances easily cover that or is there a criteria for that also? Has anyone on here had a mini-arm lift? Thanks for answering my questions. I had a TT 7 months ago and I'm very very pleased with my results. I was so excited the first time I put on a pair of bikini panties and didn't have stuff hanging ever which way!!!!!
I had my arm lift on November 20. I consulted with 4 surgeons and they all said insurance wouldn't cover it. Granted, they didn't try, but I'm thinking most surgeons would rather deal with the cash pays because insurance pays so little and is such a hassle. I didn't have the mini lift...I had a big lift and still will require a revision! Congrats on the panties! My next surgery is LBL.

My insurance covered my arm lift and tummy tuck almost 5 years ago. I have Blue Cross and I know that now in their criteria it says they will no longer cover the arm lifts no matter what. I was getting rashes and had open sores on my arms and yeast infections in my arm pits from the skin rubbing so much. I took pictures of every sore/rash and got an ointment prescription from my PCP so I would have additional documentation for the insurance. They would not cover my breast lift even though I had the same problem under them as well so I self paid for that.
I have Anthem Blue Cross and they covered my arms and breast lift (these along with the implants were done at the same time. They did not cover costs associated with the implants though). My dr submitted the paperwork and got it approved. Good luck!
