I am extremely happy w/ my results. Initially after the surgery I wondered if he didn't take enough off, especially when I would see others results. But now that I'm 6 month out everything is OK. I just have bigger muscles in my arms than some others but they are toned and don't have the jiggly hanging skin any more. I'm completely happy and comfortable w/ my scars. I rarely notice them but they are also very light and thin. It no longer bothers me to wear short sleeves or tank tops out in public any more. I'm actually proud of how my arms look.
Best wishes to you in your upcoming surgery. I hope you have the results you are looking for and a speedy and relatively pain free recovery.

Hello,
I am kind of happy with my results. I carried a lot of my weight in my arms and upper body. My plastic surgeon said I was the largest "arm case" he has done. Lovely! Although he never said we might have to do 2 separate procedures, I feel quite certain we will. I still have a lot of bulk (fat) in my arms. No loose skin, just still too big. As far as the scar placement is...love that. My surgery was November 20 and they are still a little purple. I have pics of before surgery and about 5 days after. I need to update because the scars are smaller, but arms are still about the same size. You need to be my friend to view, so send me a request if you want.

I had my brachioplasty with liposuction exactly one week ago. I can't say that I'm happy with my results quite yet, only because I'm still pretty swollen and bruised. BUT, I CAN say that I can see what my arms are GOING to look like... sometime in the near future... and that makes me happy!
There wasn't pain, exactly. More of a discomfort... my arms feel very tight, especially in the armpit area. The hardest part I have encountered is the sleeping aspect. I'm not a back sleeper and I can't get comfortable enough to really get a good night's sleep! If you have a recliner, I'd recommend using it. I wish I had one, actually.
I was really nervous going into this surgery, but I can honestly say that it wasn't nearly as bad as the abdominal surgeries I've had. It is still hard to get in and out of bed without the use of your arms, but I figure it's only temporary!
Good luck to you. I hope it all goes really well for you.
