I really want one too and I'm 38.  My plastic surgeron told me to wait until my body work is all done and then we could "discuss" doing something about my sagging neck.  So I totally understand where you are coming from.  But of course what I didn't know was that face-lifts are temporary and you have to have them done every 5-10 years, or something like that.  So, I'm in the waiting and see how I feel about it after all my other plastics are done.

we are the same age and before my "bodywork" is done i want my neck done.
i've seen 4 facial PS's and i've never been told it has to be redone every 5 to 10 years, i was told as long as i maintain the weightloss and take care of myself the necklift will last.

be sure you see a facial PS for facial work rather than a PS who mainly deals with "bodywork" they have a completely different outlook.

I had a facelift about 2.5 years out. While reading my literature before the surgery it did say something about certain procedures lasting longer than others.  (Can't remember which ones.)  But if you think about it, gravity is still going to pull on your face and aging doesn't stop.  Your face won't just go back to looking like it did pre-FL but time will take it's toll.  Hopefully, since you are now 'tight', you won't age as fast!

Weight loss does take a toll on your face so I say go for it!

If you think it will make you happy and you go in with reasonable expectations, then GO FOR IT.

Here is a link where many plastic surgeons...including facial plastic surgeons answer the question about how long a facelift lasts:

I had something called an awake lift from the Monarch Med Spa here in PA.  Many doctors offer various forms of this surgery.  I'm 46 and only had a little bit of sagging in the jowls.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the results.  This is NOT a thread lift, those don't last long at all.  This is a real lower face lift and the way my doc does it he lifts a bit of the mid face as well.  It is NOT a deep plane face lift which is more appropriate if you have a lot of extra skin and neck sagging especially around the mouth (marionette lines).  My mini face lift did get rid of my marionette lines but my doctor told me not to expect that I just got lucky.  However did it completely get rid of all the minor sagging I had.  Even the little under my chin.
