No harm in asking for lower price on TummyTuck
I went for a second consultation w/my PS. Glad I did...Me and the PS has always talked about the anchor cut procedure..But when the coordinator did the first quote...she did the quote for a "standard". Well it seem like the "anchor" cut is an extended procedure and cost about $1500 more.
I had already did my budget for the procedure to cost the original price of $8300 not almost $10K. I was livid..and I let them know it. I really did like the PS, but there is no way I was going to pay that much, especially since the coordinator made the mistake and I had gotten other quotes in the same price range. But, I hated to start the process again and I really do like the PS.
Well the office was willing to work w/me...The PS reduce his rate and instead of going w/a private outpatient surgery center. I will be using the outpatient center at a hospital (which I think is better, in case of emergencies).
The lesson learned.....I could have just walked away, mad...or Negotiate, Negotiate.
Even PS are having a tough time doing this economic recession and are willing to lower their rates.
So, I'm scheduled for February 11th.
