Tomorrow is my official 6 week mark to go without my compression garment.  I didn't wear it yesterday to work and exercised yesterday and had NO swelling.  I actually think the little swelling I did have is gone now!  Yay!   I did notice that one of my thigh incisions came open just a small bit.  I think that is from the exercising and not from not wearing the compression garment.  It's very small and I put some antibiotic ointment on it and a small band aid.

I'm still loving my results - ALL of them!  I am getting alot of people saying I look so much younger in my face and I only had the eyelid surgery on my face - I can NOW say it was WELL worth the pain and bruising afterwards! LOL!  I think some people think I had a total facelift!  LOL!

Anyway...I will try to post my new 6 weeks post op pictures by this weekend.  I purchased a new swimsuit a "Monokini" which is as close to ever wearing a bikini that I will get!
It's great for all us "anchor cut" tummy tuck patients because it has the material going right down the center where the "vertical incision" scar is and just has the sides out and from the back looks like a bikini.  If I am brave enough I will try to post a pic wearing it so you can see how nice it covers all the tummy scars.

Hi.
I'm 2 weeks out...And sometimes I can not wait to get rid of the binders...And yet they feel comforting, I only had an extended tummytuck and my PS suggests wearing the binder for 3 weeks ( No Lipo) I wonder why there is such a discrepency in time requirements... Anyway   Congrats, You look Wonerfull...

I think some of the differences in required compression garment time is related to whether a person had surgery with a local surgeon, or out of the country. DW and I had surgery in Mexico, so it's not easy to go to the surgeon for possible complications in healing. I think Dr. Sauceda's time frame is based on a somewhat "better safe than sorry" idea.

Also, it can be due to the extent of incisions (fleur de lis vs. standard tummy tuck) , or lipo vs. no lipo. It would seem more procedures done at once would require more compression time.

Well my surgeon is right here in Alaska and she recommended I wear my compression garment 24/7 for 8 weeks then while sleeping for an additional 4!  And I was told to wear my arm compression garments 24/7 x 12 weeks!  I did it, but it was hard!  I guess every surgeon is different! :)

Oh - please DO post a pic with the swimsuit.  I never thought of something like that since I had the anchor cut too.
