I want it all

I posted this on the post-op pregnancy board as well (because I just had a baby 6 weeks ago) but this is the more logical place to post my questions.

Unless the sea parts and I gain the ability to walk on water (although I wouldn't need the sea to part if I could do that) I doubt I am getting pregnant again.  : (      So I started talking to my husband about plastic surgery.  Clearly I am not ready for it just yet, but I am thinking in the next year or two (probably closer to two) I want it.

Has anyone had the skin removal on not only the abdominal area, but on the thighs and arms all at the same time?  What's the recovery like?  How long would I need someone to help me with the kids?  Most importantly, what's the monetary damage?  Here's what I want done:

Boob lift (no implants, just a lift)
TT
Lipo/Skin removal on upper thighs
Bat wing removal on the upper arms

I don't know if we can even afford it because that's a lot of surgery, but I do know that I would want it all at once.

I'm sure that all of these questions have been asked a million times by others, but I'm too lazy to go back and check.   Also to add, I'm in MI if anyone has any plastic surgeon recommendations.

Thanks

Julie

I know my surgeon would not do all those at once.  I had a TT and bat wings removed about 4 months ago.  He wasn't thrilled about doing both of those together but it worked out ok.  I doubt you will be able to do so much at one time.  You can't be "out" for longer than about 5 hours ideally.  You might want to reconsider.  My procedure was about $11,000. whi*****ludes everything and was done at the dr's surgery center, no overnight stay.  Good luck.

My surgeon wouldn't do all of those at once.  I have to tell you... I'm recuperating from my arms right now (had it done on the 21st of Jan) and you really need your leg and abdominal muscles in order to propel yourself up from a chair or bed. Holy moly, am I glad I HAVE some muscles there.

I would think having boobs, thighs and bat wing removal might be feasible together, but the tummy tuck would push me right over the edge if it were added!

I'm sure there are surgeons who would do it all at the same time, but I haven't consulted with any, personally.

I paid 4506.- for my brachioplasty... I live in WI... it's a pretty standard price here.

Costs vary immensely depending on location, surgeon, and your ability to work out a multiple procedure deal with your chosen surgeon. If you are willing to travel, costs are likely to be roughly half of what you would pay in the US, but you also have to consider the challenges and differences of having surgery far from home. I payed $11,250, but $600 was reimbursed by my surgeon for travel and he payed for my 12 day hotel stay and all surgical/clinic fees.

Five weeks ago, I had a fleur de lis tummy tuck, small thigh lift (no vertical incision), and BA at the same time...done in Monterrey, MX. Although it was painful, I was able to care for myself (shower, dress, cook) within a few days. But, I am still restricted from heavy chores for at least another week. You wouldn't be able to lift a baby, for instance, for at least 6 weeks, but could do most light household chores. I would say I felt as though I was operating at about 85% by weeks 3-4, and 90-95% at week 5. Most of my discomfort is gone, with just a twinge of muscle soreness here and there, and a bit of swelling that will likely linger for several weeks more.

IF it's a year or two it's doable. I did my sleeve when my 4 1/2 year old was 3. She was 25 pounds. I didn't pick her up but she could climb and sit by me and cuddle. It was hard for her to climb up into her seat by herself. I wish I had taught her that before. Now sh'es 4 1/2 and still only 30 pounds but understands more.
