Hey all looking for a little feedback.

16 days ago (1/09) I had a upper and lower eyelid lift, mini TT (but no muscle repair), Donut BL/BA, Butt aug by fat grafting and lipo (@3 liters removed)  to my inner knees, all over my thighs, torso, and back.   I've got all my stitches out but still have a drain which looks like I should be able to remove tomorrow or Wednesday.

The problem is I am still really sore from the lipo, the other stuff is fine.  It's a combo of a soreness kinda like when you lift weights for the first time in a long time plus a sensation kind of like burning.  I  know it's not infected but it's very uncomfortable.  I have a hard time sleeping, standing up or sitting down is painful, just moving around sucks. I can tolerate it, but it's wearing on me and makes me not want to do much but lay around and read and watch TV.  I ran out of pain pills a while back and when I had them I was much better, I could sleep and move around without so much discomfort.

My question is how long did your lipo pain last?  How long did your doc say you could take pain pills?

Also I'm up like 12 lbs still, how long until you lost your swelling weight (especially those of you who had a fair amount of lipo like I did}?

Thanks

Hang in there kiddo Lipo is tough one.........plus you had a lot of work done at one time.  Your body is in a lot of stress...you have to give it plenty of time to recover.

I had lipo done on my arms (as a revision) and the pain lasted a lot longer than when I had the whole brachioplasty done.  My arms were genuinely sore for at least 3 months (sorry about the bad news).  It's been about 6 months since I had them done and I honestly still have quite a bit of numbness along the back of the arms and occasionally get a weird sore sensation but it has gotten much better.

FYI - the burning sensation could be a good sign that the nerves are waking up and trying to reconnect....but if It starts feeling hot to the touch you should call your doctor.

I'm taking 2 Aleve when I need them just to sort of dull the pain....it's helping.

I'm with you in the same boat right now.  I'm 6 or 7 weeks out from my LBL and my butt is stilling VERY sore and uncomfortable.  It just takes time.  :-(

Hang in there!!

I'm so sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable.  I haven't had any lower body work - just a breast reduction and I sure did have burning.  it lasted about 5 weeks.  Now the only time my breasts hurt is if they accidently get poked or ht kind of hard.

I'm having a LBL and lipo to the outer thighs with Dr S.  I'm afraid of the pain from the lipo and trying to decide if my outer thighs are that bad where it's worth the pain.

Good luck with everything and I hope you feel better soon and all that awful swelling goes away here real fast!

I'm 6.5 weeks post LBL with Lipo and BL.  I am still sore from the lipo.  In fact, I have a larger area of soreness and hardness on my left side than my right.  Doc says it's all normal and that lipo recovery can lengthy for some.  Hanging in there and I hope you can too.  Like Moosie says, take a little something to take the edge off.  It helps.

Thanks Terri, I've got no choice but to hang in.  I wonder if in 6 months I look back at this and say if WAS all worth it, I hope so!

I can't wait until 6 months from now to check in and see if we think it was worth it (the lipo that is).
