Back from Arm/BL/BA consult (Q if any Docs have a sec)
Well I have changed my avatar since OH added in the Share buttons so hope you remember me =)
I had a LBL/hernia repair (with anchor cut TT) in Sept and had 1 small spot that didn't heal well where the anchor incisions met. After it closed up I had an in-office revision; local freezing, cut and stitches to remove the red scar. That has all healed up and I love the results.
I went for plastics round 2 consult on Friday. I had done a ton of research; thanks to you guys and Dr L for info and web site links.
I am in a B cup now, only because of the side skin, otherwise I'd be an A. When I have a BL I will be an A, and a small A. I really didn't want to go the implant route but it made me sad thinking about being THAT small so I did investigate implants.
I saw my surgeon. I told him I did not want to go BIG. I was thinking C cup. That's where my comfort level is. Based on my post-wls skin he did suggest silicone because the saline ripples would probably show through my skin, mainly because I have almost no breast tissue left. He prefers under the muscle and I am ok with that, I think it will help prevent bottoming out (again because of my lack of tissue and that I am post-wls).
Once I tried on the implants and saw myself in the mirror, I was sold =) I had BREASTS! And they were the right size for me. So it looks like I better find a part-time job!
So it will be arms, BL/BA probably in May. I am really excited. A month ago I was so not ready for another surgery... but I am now!
One question I had and forgot to ask, was worst case, if you do bottom out, does it do any permanent damage to the breast? Or if you just didn't have the ability to hold the implant in place, could it just be removed (obviously I'd remove both to look uniform). I guess I have the same questions for capsular contracture, could that do permanent damage to the breast? Or worst case they remove the implants?

Your new avatar cracks me up - it's so you.
You seem to have done a lot of research on the breast ps. You're using words I haven't even thought of. Did he say anything about using your own tissue - or is it too much going to a C cup to do that. Being my age I've decide that a good bra does wonders. VS here I come (again) LOL.

Our plastic surgeon is not a big fan of auto-augment. I know Nodwell auto-augmented Kim though so he may be a better option for that. Auto-augment is not an option for me, both surgeons indicated that, there isn't any/enough tissue that can be relocated. There's some great info on this Canadian site http://www.canadaba.ca/ If you read over the risk section is covers all those words I mentioned, and yes I did my research! yeah I hear you on VS, they do wonders for breasts. But when the augement is only $3 K more then the lift alone, I decided to just do it =) If I wasn;t having arms done, I would def have just gone the VS route and lived with it, but since I am under anyway...
I am actually the poster child for bottoming out, no really, check out the website http://www.justbreastimplants.com/gallery/double_bubble_photos.htm. yeah thats me...but shhhhh dont tell anyone...anyway, I had the implants completely removed and my natural breast crease came right back, no permanent damage at all and i had the implants for about 6 yrs and had them explanted about 6 years ago and I am all good to go, my current PS even told me that if i want to try again with smaller implants, I should not have the same problem that it was all due to the weight of the implant which was 800cc (not 700, like indicated on this website) which my dr. posted my photos without my permission....booo
