Brachioplasty Recovery

Just a quick question for anybody else postop from brachioplasty.  I'm about 12 weeks post op now. I still struggle some days with pain in my arms.  It seems like by the end of the day, when I'm driving home, my arms are just exhausted and they ache so much.  They have healed beautifully and I'm thrilled with the results, but I wonder when I'll be "normal" again.  When did you reach a point where you no longer had any symptoms related to your brachioplasty?  Thanks in advance all for sharing your experience!

 Hi Jessica,

It's been 14 months since I had brachioplasty and sometimes when I turn over in bed and put weight on my elbows there is still a little uncomfortable feeling. I also don't have a lot of feeling in my arms. I LOVE my results and would do it again in a heartbeat.

It will get better, but I don't think they will ever feel like they did prior to surgery.

I had intermittent discomfort for close to a year... but it was very intermittent and quite manageable.  Twelve weeks is really not that long...

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
