4 days out and feeling great
I had a breast lift, tummy tuck & medial thigh lift on Tuesday. Wednesday, my pain would be about an 8, 30 minutes before meds. Thursday, around a 6. Yesterday, around a 4. The On-Q came out, last night. This morning, after 8 hours without pain meds, my pain level was around a 3. I'm very swollen, but the bruising isn't as bad as I expected. Incisions feel fine. Drains will be in for awhile, because I still have a lot of drainage. Doc says a drain can come out once it has less than 24ccs of drainage in a 24 hour period. I think my main challenge is going to be resting enough, because I feel capapble. I got a shower yesterday. Hoping to shave my legs today.
I'm 4 days out today too and I had a TT with a vertical anchor cut. I'd say today is my best "morning" so far. I got my first shower yesterday too - felt so good!
I'm still very swollen too - but that's to be expected. My compression garment feels twisted, I don't thik we got it back on quite right after my shower - that's definitely going to have to be readjusted.
I haven't been rating my pain, but I'd say this morning was maybe a 4? I have been waking myself up every 4 hours and taking my meds throughout the night to keep a consistent amount in me - and I know that's definitely helping me in the mornings. Thursday morning when I didn't do that - OMG - i felt like a Mack truck ran over me! I'd say my worse day so far was Thursday.
Glad you're feeling much better today - but don't overdo it! That will just make the recovery process slower and make you drain more...

Lucky, lucky, lucky! I'm 5 1/2 weeks post op arms and tummy, and not yet feeling great! Maybe you all are a lot younger than me. I wasn't allowed to shower till all the drains were out - 19 days! I had a hard time with my arms, one elbow got infected and is still sore. So take it easy, be patient, and don't over-do, or you'll be miserable.
