Hello all, I'm scheduled for a lower body lift and front thigh lift in the groin area not all the way down the legs. Do you think this will be too much at one time?

The nurse said I will wear the long-line compression garment for a few days and go to a binder and I should wear bike shorts for the thigh area. Aren't I going to sweat to death, lol? How on earth are the groin incisions going to heal? TIA

It really depends on how you heal. I didn't have any issues when I had my LBL and that recovery was very easy for me. My MTL however was the worst pain out of all my surgeries. I'm not sure how I would have handled it w/ my tummy being very sore because of the muscle tightening and having my thighs done. I used my legs a lot while recovering from my LBL since you can't really bend. I would squat in order to get things that were on the floor or lower than waist level.

Just my opinion, I would wait to do my thighs. My Dr. also won't do the 2 together, something about the pulling in opposite directions. That being said I know there are plenty of people who have had it done at the same time and have done fine.

I was cut from the knee to the groin & I wore a compression garment for 8 weeks and I had no problem healing and they are lightweight & did not make me sweat and the incisions do heal just keep them clean & dry, I had no problem with my thighs, my garment the first ne went to my ankles and then after 2 weeks it went to my knees

I had the exact same type of surgery.  the stomach part did not bother me at all, the groin was very uncomfortable but not painful.  make sure to get yourself a freshet at freshet.com.  it allows you to urinate standing up which was the most helpful thing of all the first week.  actually a life saver.  take it to the hospital with you, because they expect you to sit and urinate which is very uncomfortable the first few days.  also get a toilet riser With handles because you will be using your arms to help you lift.  Its definitely doable, and I am happy I did it.  I am six weeks out, back to work after 4.  the groin area still sensitive and occasionally uncomfortable, but not painful.
Good luck.
