But, I didn't have lipo...so I would imagine that all the damaged tissue is holding a fair amount of water. The weight will drop as the tissues heal and the swelling decreases.
In the meantime...patience.

I don't like the scale mentality myself. For too long, I based my self esteem on that number and it hardly ever paints a true picture. Under "normal" cir****tances you can use it roughly gauge if you need to adjust your calories for the week. If you're at a normal weight that's about all it's good for. For our PS situation, stepping onto it will mostly tell you how much fluid retention you've got going on.
I'll weigh myself when I get back, it's a weakness and I can't help it. If I'm up 20 pounds BIG DEAL. I'm eating to heal and it's better to have excess calories than not enough. Down here, I can't really judge how many I need like before. I can't even really do a good job counting calories. So I'm not. I am doing what I can - focusing on protein and good whole foods nutrition. Whatever fat I put on will be blasted off in months following my return to the gym.

You're welcome, Tamera. Anytime I can spread a little optimism, I do!
Yes, I lost my weight using only diet and exercise. I found a plan that worked for me and made it my lifestyle. For me, nutrition and exercise go hand in hand. It did take discipline at first but eventually it became habit. I taught myself to view food/exercise much differently than I did most of my life.
I'm with you on wanting to get back to exercising. I can't wait either. I'll have to be happy with walking for now. Getting out into the sunshine here helps my mood instantly.
