OK...Rookie here. I have some questions about procedures...
Ok...I have a consultation on March 3 about my hangy stomache. I have lost a little over 100 pounds and plan on losing more before any surgery. I am seeing many letters...but am confused...I figured out TT tummy tuck, etc. But I am more confused about that there are so many different types of tummy procedures. Anyone care to elaborate so I will be more informed before my appointment? Thanks in advance!

Hi!
TT= Tummy Tuck
There is the traditional one which pulls skins downward and gives you a horizontal incision above the pubic area and swings upwards along the hip.
Then there is the Fluer-de-lies or Anchor Cut which are the same. This gives you the same horizontal cut AND a vertical one down the middle. This is most helpful if you have a lot of loose skin above the belly button (like I had).
Extended TT.....I believe is the same as the traditional one but has a slightly longer incision along the sides.
LBL = Lower Body Lift.....Usually includes the tummy tuck, the butt lift and outer thigh lift
BL= Breast Lift
BR= Breast reduction
BA= Breast Augmentation
Brachioplasty= Armlift (once in a while I see this as AL)
FL = Face Lift
TL = Thigh Lift..... there are two types.....one has the small incision at the groin and the other is actually a Thighplasty....it has a loooong incision from the groin to the knee (done when there is a lot of loose skin all around the legs).
Hope that helps.

There is also a mini tummy tuck which doesn't usually include muscle repair like the regular and extended tt do and the horizontal incision is shorter. This is for folks with a moderate amount of extra skin mostly below the belly button.
