Hi, Just wondering, how many people have used the compression sleeve when they had their arms done? If not would you have used it if you had the time to do over again. I am looking into doing my arms in a few months and was wondering on this???

Hi Gail,
My doctor didn't require one for my brachioplasty.  He said women hated them and wouldn't wear them as directed anyway.  I kept my arms elevated as much as possible, followed
doctor's orders and had no trouble and LOVE my new arms.  Good luck, Barb

I used one. I wore it from 2 weeks to 6 weeks. I liked it and felt it helped greatly w/ the swelling and getting the scars to flatten.

I wore the sleeves for 6 weeks at first they annoyed me but they kept the swelling down keeps the scars flat . I have ehard that you get better results wearing the sleeves I don't know if it is true or not I was not taking any chances so I wore them for 6 weeks.
I had an extended Brachioplasty and I was so worried about it but actually the arms were the easiest
Good Luck

I LOVE my sleeves and still wear them (I'm 5 weeks out from brachio).  They make me feel secure.  They don't hurt or bother me at all.  I'll still wear them full time another week and then probably part time after that, especially when I work out.  I see my plastic surgeon today, so I'll ask what he recommends.

I had brachioplasty yesterday morning. I have tight compression bandages on both arms. This morning, however, my left hand swelled to about twice its normal size. My doc recommended that I remove the bandages until the swelling lessened. I have them on again this afternoon.

I'd say that the brachioplasty was more uncomfortable and awkward than painful. It just feels odd to not be able to move your arms! It's a kind of vulnerable feeling, to say the least.
