Thigh Lifts

For those of you who have had thigh lifts, how long were they uncomfortable when walking?  Compared to my other two procedures, anchor cut TT and long arm lift, the thigh lift is easily the most bothersome.

Just wondering

I am five weeks out and agree with others that when you sit too long or walk to long it still gets uncomfortable.  It wasn't so much painful as very uncomfortable.  as a man, you won't have quite the problem of sitting to urinate, but it will be difficutl for bowel movements.

I had pain walking or as my friend put it "like I had a load in my pants" for about 2 weeks. After that it got better. By 3 weeks out I was out at the club and resumed my normal life activities w/ the exception of working out. I would have moments where they would hurt along the incision line but mostly when I hadn't worn my compression garment for a few hours or the majority of the day.

By far the thigh lift was the most painful but after a couple of weeks it was worth the pain.

Thanks guys.  It's good to know that I'm not the only "load walker." ;)  It makes sense that it would be the most likely to be uncomfortable since the inner thighs bear more weight than the arms or abdomen.

Hopefully within a month, I'll be able to get around without cringing.

Mark, it does get better. Most of the time I don't even notice them anymore with exception to itching along the incision lines at times. Also, I have had 2 incidents where I get small superficial wound openings that seem to close up pretty quickly as long as the incisions are not moist (with exception to the neosporin after showering). When this happens, I think I obsess about my thighs until its cleared up which makes me notice them more...If that makes sense.

Thanks for the hope, Tammy!

Yesterday, I learned I really have to be careful how much I walk.  The way the compression garment fits me, my small thigh lifts are very easily irritated by walking.  If I pace myself correctly and limit the distance I can reap the benefits of walking with adding to the discomfort.

I am six weeks out and I never had trouble walking. Getting up and down from a sitting position was tough for about ten days. At three weeks I could cross my legs with out pain. I really thought it would be much worse than it was. I had about a pound and a half of skin removed. I am very short so my thighs were bad. I did not have any lipo. Doc said all he saw was skin ,no fat to take. I expect the tummy to be the worst for me. Thats next on my list. I wanted to wear shorts this spring and a bathing suit this summer so the thighs were a priority for me. I can hide a tummy and butt.
I hope you have as easy a time as I have. I had the top open up some but it healed very fast. That has been my only complaint with the thighs.

Hi everyone!
I am scheduled for a thigh lift exactley 2 weeks from today...I am worried about the pain! Even though I have had multiple procedures this one worries me...does any one have before after thigh pictures to share? I had my bracheoplasty 4 weeks ago and have very dramatic results....tummy tuck and breast reconstruction two years ago..why does the thigh lift seem like a big deal?
