larger waist after panni????

I was wondering if anyone had had a bigger waist after a panni removal?  I'm starting to get really stressed because I've gotten bigger in the tummy area. Pants that used to fit great are tight in the waist.  So this morning I was thinking maybe it was because of my surgery.  I had my panni removed in Oct, he also did kind of a mini TT and I got a new belly button, I was thinking that maybe when they do it they pull up and fat that used to hang is now where it's supposed to be.  I've pretty much maintained my weight, I just went for the normal every 6 month check and I had lost 2lbs. So it's not weight gain, and I even started sit-ups which I wasn't doing before.
Thanks for any insight you have.

I'm the same way. If your panni isn't really big then it can "squish" down when we had looser skin - now it's tight and can't be crammed around in tight jeans. After the swelling and all (i'm 10 months post op and swelling is down 75% of the time, I wear the same size but my tummy LOOKS a lot smaller but my jeans are tighter than before surgery. And I've lost 10 pounds - wth!

Thanks, that makes sense.  I felt like I was crazy, I weigh less, have been doing sit ups and my jeans were to tight.
Thanks it's nice to know I'm not a freak lol.

FYI: Some sit-ups will make your bulk up in the waist are - building the muscles - so the waist may get bigger - but firmer.   Muscles get bigger - waist gets larger.
You may try to research some abdominal exercises that will slim your mid section and not bulk it up.

Wow, this is news to me.

I chose to have a full-blown tummy tuck, including having my waist drawn in bit, versus just the panniculectomy.  I've gone from a 4 Petite down to a 2 Petite and I'll be eight weeks from the tummy tuck tomorrow.

I was a size 2-4 petite and after I'm still a size 2-4 petitte, the difference being I'm more comfortable in the previous "tighter" size 2's and 4s are now more relaxed.
