Time off for BL and Brachio

Sorry, I know it's been asked a billion times!

How long did you need off work for breast lift and brachio? I had a really rough time getting energy back after my LBL/hernia repair and I want to ensure I take off enough time to be close to 100% at work. I think my surgeon suggests 2 weeks (I see him Fri) but based in my LBL I am thinking 3.

Thanks!

I would have been fine w/ a week off for my brachio or my BL. I went back to work after 10 days after having a MTL & BL/BA. The BL/BA and brachio were the 2 that gave me the least difficulty.

Sonya did you have lipo (arms)? I am wondering if that prolongs recovery.

If you can take 3, then I would take 3.  I only had my arms done but would have been able to go back in a week, easily.

Laura,

Your before and after photos made me feel SO much better! It was an abstract concept before... but then I saw YOUR results... and I could picture my own so much more clearly!

Thank you for sharing them!

I think it depends on the type of work you do.  I had a BL/BA with Brachio. and was out of work for 4 weeks.  I am a nurse who does some lifting/pulling/pushing and work 12 hour night shifts.  I also had drains in both armpits for 6 days!  My surgeon told me 3 weeks, but I felt as though I needed the extra week.

For the breasts by themselves I had them done on Thursday and could go back to work on Monday.

For the arms I think you need more than 2 weeks personally.  I would think at least 3 or 4.  I didn't have my full use bac****il week 6 but I could function and work at week 4.

Hope that helps.
Best wishes.....
Ruth
