Experiment gone bad!!

So....I forgot to wash my 2nd garment yesterday. I decided to go bare today while I washed them...and OMG ..that was a mistake! My belly blew up like a balloon..well maybe I am exaggerating a little..BUT...it feels like it! Wow, this proves I still need the garment even though I am cleared from wearing if I want. I go back to work tomorrow so I am sure that will add swelling as the day goes on too.

Lesson Learned!!!!!!

Good luck with work!  I know its tough the first few days, I remember going back after my VSG and it took me a few days to make it through the whole day.  Hopefully you will be able to take it slow!  Robin

I too go back to work tomorrow after 4 weeks.  Had a circumference lower body lift and mini upper thigh lift.  the only time i have dared go without the garments are to sleep.  hqvent tried during the day but havebeen very tempted.  I will learn from you.  good luck to us both tomorrow.

I can only go without mine while I sleep.  As soon as I get up and around, I have to put it on or I am swollen to the MAX!  It's not good.  I fear I'm going to have to buy another one.  My other ones are getting pretty bad in the crotch area.  The hooks are not going to hold much longer.

Omigosh, I have two -- and six  months out I still wear one every day.  EVERY day!!!  Now and then I experiment with leaving it off, but by the end of the day I am SOOooooooooo sorry.  Actually, usually by ten AM.

You are soo welcome. I really believe in paying it forward as I hung on every post preop AND still do postop for other's knowledge.

Welcome to the club.........lol.......I did the same thing which is why I swear by wearing a compression garment.

Hope you are feeling better today.

I had my TT Oct 9th 2009 and still wear some sort of compression garment most days.  I found that I really like the mini shaper from Jockey and bought 3 of them! Today I didn't wear my shaper...for no real reason and tonight I am swollen as if a 1/4 football is stuck to my lower belly.

I will put it on in the morning and all the swelling will be gone in a day.

Good luck with getting your swelling back under control.

Susan
