Oh god, i am so nervous about this for some reason...not sure why but I am...this is a plastic surgeon that my PCP recommends..and says they will work together to try to get my insurance to approved what I need done...were you more nervous about your plastic surgery then you were your WLS?

Good Luck Char! It can be a little embarassing at first but the surgeon should put you at ease early on. I don't think I was more nervous about my Plastics, I think I was more excited than anything. The thought of finally having a flat tummy for the first time in my life was more than any of the fears of having the surgery. Course mine went very quickly. Surgery was scheduled for just over 2 weeks from my consult. Not much time to get nervous.

Hi Char,
YES, I was much more nervous to expose myself to my plastic surgeon than I was to Dr. A for my vsg.   Why, I'm not sure.  I did much research on both surgeons.  However, the plastic surgeon I chose (of the three I consulted) put me (and my husband) at ease immediately.
You'll know when you have the right one.  I've used Dr. Stein, who is 200+ miles from me), for everything I've had done(SmartLipo, brachioplasty & breast lift).  Good luck with your consultations, your surgery and the new you!     Barb
