Dr. Francisco Sauceda - disciplined for drug abuse?

I am NOT trying to start anything, I promise.  This is my first post to the plastic surgery forum but I am a regular on the DS board.

I've been researching this doctor and found the following information from the Texas Medical Board.  Is this the same Dr. Sauceda that many of you have been to?  I have been interested in going to him because it sounds like he's really talented.  Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

78 Doctors Disciplined

During its April 7-8 Board meeting, the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners took disciplinary action against 71 licensed physicians, *****ceived one or more of the following actions: six surrenders/revocations; 16 suspensions, with 10 stayed and probated; 16 restrictions; eight public reprimands; and 41administrative penalties totaling $137,500. The board temporarily suspended the license of seven physicians since the last board meeting. On March 22, the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners took disciplinary action against one physician assistant.

SAUCEDA, FRANCISCO BASIL, M.D., SAN ANTONIO, TX, Lic. #H8375
On February 17, 2005, the Board entered an Order temporarily suspending Dr. Sauceda’s license. The action was based on Dr. Sauceda’s arrest for possession of cocaine and the subsequent discovery of prescription drugs and syringes in his vehicle. The action was also based on findings by the Board that Dr. Sauceda is a known drug abuser who had been under two previous Board orders for substance abuse.

if you go back farther on this board you'll see that someone posted that before and the replies proved that it is not the same doctor. :)

Our Dr in Monterrey has never practiced in Texas except at a burn unit in Dallas for training.  His full name is Dr Francisco Gerardo Sauceda Mireles, and it is NOT the same Dr.

Hope that helps!

I researched that issue as well.  I believe that Dr was a Family Practice Dr and not the plastic surgeon.  They are two Dr's.  I also remember hearing that the Dr Sauceda will soon be getting all of his privileges back.

Most considering Dr. Sauceda do the Google search and come up with this.  It's not the same person, rest assured.

Is there even a resource for checking a doctor in Mexico's disciplinary status ?  Or the accreditation of a surgery clinic ?

Here in Texas, we get a public reprimand: a newsletter gets mailed out, an e-bulletin gets sent, and you get your name posted for many years on the internet for all offenses, major or minor.

Like being late on your dues payment.

if only we could afford to have plastic surgery in the states, ahhh life would be good wouldn't it
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

Ain't that the truth. I'd love too but when the price diff is 60% LESS in Mexico - AND you get to stay in the hospital AND a nurse comes to change your bandages daily once you LEAVE the hospital - well - there's really no choice unless you're super rich.

I'd almost consider it if more docs would use an epidural vs general anesthesia - Dr. S does and I've gone down twice with my final one next summer. The recovery is better, you don't have pain for three days and hardly need any pain meds... and of course, the risks are reduced... and the cost!

Are you listening US docs?
