I started out at 310 I am now 183 I am going for TT surgery Feb 17 consult.  I have not lost anything for 5 or 6 months.  I am not at goal.  I am very small at the top but still have a lot of fat in my tummy area. That is the only place I even want to lose any more weight.  I wonder if the fat is trapped and will not come off and if the surgery will take care of this or should I do something different to lose the rest of the weight before I have the TT.  I know I should be at goal but is it possible I am as far down as I am going to get with out help? I am exercising and eat right but nothing is changing. My goal weight is 150.

Cindy..

I think these are the things you need to discuss during your consultation.  The PS will be able to guide and advise you on what you may or may not need to do.  I do know that most PS want you to be maintaining for a certain amount of time b/4 they do any plastics.  You will have more answers once you have your consult.

good luck,

kim

Cindy,

What weight is your goal??? Are you happy at your current weight?? The surgeon I used likes one to be about 20lbs over their ideal weight, and the other ps's that I I consulted were okay with that also....but I do know that many want you at your goal weight and holding for several months. Are you going to do just a TT or a LBL???  I agree that the best answer to your question will come from the consultations you have with prospective surgeons....Congratulations on your weight loss...keep up the good work :) Lynette

I had my tt at 150 lbs., I never reached my goal of 138; like you I was the same weight for 6 months before my surgery.  If you are comfortable at the weight you are then go for it.  If not, then try to lose more before the tt.

Good luck in whatever decision you make.
