I had my mammogram today and asked this very question. She said if the implant is over they have to roll the implant to the back of the chest wall to get good pictures and the pressure of the machine on the moved implant could cause it to rupture. But she went on to say that the machine they use applies about 45 pounds of pressure and the implants are built to withstand over 100 pounds of pressure and in the 22 years she's been doing mammograms she has never seen or heard of one rupturing due to mammography.
