Serious: Over vs Under
Thanks Sherline...I have about 3 months to decide and I prefer under, just because, but Dr. S prefers over...We are corresponding with one another and as long as the ultimately decision is mines, it is okay with me. Thanks so much for your input.

Sherline so yours finally dropped. I did under the muscle as well and one is higher than the other. I am hoping it drops soon. I am happy with my decision to have my twins done but I wish they looked the same right now. I know in time it will happen.

Hello!
For what I have understood:
almost no breast tissue: under
Breast tissue: over
Anyway, for the mammo, you will need to take extra pictures and keeps informed the technician and the doctor. It is a little easier for them under but if your implant is over, they have a special technique to get a good picture (they push back the implant to your chest wall).
The look of over the muscle is more natural as it follows your breast. If you move, the implant moves with the breast. Exception: if you are very petite, you are better to go under otherwise you will see the contour of the implant.
The look of under the muscle: the space between the breasts is wider, it takes longer to settle down, the implant won't move if you are running for example (which can be odd for some people). If you have a good amount of breast tissue, you could be at risk of dubble bubble which means that with time, your implant will stay in place but your breast will sag.
So it depends a lot of the state of your breast and how your breast could evolve in the future and for that I think it is better to followe the recommendations of your PS.
I was also concerned a lot about mammos but anyways implants under or over make it more difficult...but not impossible :-)
Good luck!!

This is so true... I just had my annual mammogram yesterday and mentioned I was getting implants, she immediately explained to me in detail how my exam would be different next year, how many extra pictures she would take and what additional positions I would need to be in... she said it was "no problem", that she does it all the time...
