It depends on your situation.... Myself I had skin, but nothing in it. If I had unders, I would have needed a lift as well. My implants took up all the extra skin and looks very normal. I am not worried about a little sag in the years to come because I am in my 50's and a little sag is normal (skin flaps with nipples isn't good!!).

From what I researched, overs are more the normal surgery except in the States where unders far outweigh overs. There is a web site that I read and poured over pictures at Make Me Heal. Google that and see what you can find out for your situation.

My Dr. did under. It's better for future mamograms for them to be under. My personal opinion is that they look and feel more natural (not that I've felt a lot that are over). Just from the comments I get, no one really realized that I've had implants unless I tell them. Even after feeling them they say they feel very natural.

Thanks for your input...That is my main concern for under, the mamograms.

I have been reading about over being way better, it actually moves very natural with your body. In the future when you get a bit of sag, they follow along with the natural shape of your breast.

That is EXACTLY what Dr. S said about the sag part of it and as far as the ripples that have been a concern to people for over he advised that the type he uses does not have that issue becaause of changes that have been made...The mammogram issue is what bothers me most.

My surgeon chose to mine under the muscle and I am happy with the results.  I have been told constantly by people that they look natural which is what I wanted.  I am sure if you ask people who have them over the muscle they will say the same thing.  You will have to research and figure out what is best for you.

Good luck with your decision.
