Update & Questions: Dr. S or others

I REALLY appreciate the feedback that I have received on this site and am so happy that there are so many women out there that are willing and able to help others along the way.

I have made up my mind and will be going with Dr. S and I just viewed my syllabus and my last class/group project is 04/27 so I am looking to leave on the 29th for Mexico...I am going to finalize everything with Dr. S. We have agreed on the BL/BA, Arm Lift, Extended Tummy Tuck with Anchor...This should be enough for me...I did meet with Dr. Chapin who is a great surgeon but financially not in my reach...I am VERY excited and looking forward to this.

My goals are to work EXTRA hard to get off my last 12 lbs (lost 8 lbs in the last 2 weeks) so I am sure these 12 lbs will come off soon...My goals are also to get caught up with work and stay on top of my school work.

QUESTIONS: I plan to take about 4-6 weeks off of work, I am a Underwriter so I am at my desk allday, or I may do 4 weeks and work from home for 4 weeks...Can people chime in and advise when they felt like themselves again.

Also how does Dr. S work with booking surgery.

Thanks Again.

Congratulations on your decision!  I think you would be fine to be off for 4 weeks and work 4 weeks from home.  I didn't have my arms done though.  I was moving around pretty well at the 4 week mark, driving, picking my son up from school, etc.  As long as you are not up and around too much, I think it would work.

Dr S did not require a deposit, but I just had to send him my flight itinerary to lock down the date we decided on.

Good luck!

Dr. Sauceda will give you a tentative date for surgery and will expect you to arrive the day before for marking. He will finalize and book your surgery date as soon as he receives a copy of your airfare receipt.

I would imagine that 4-6 weeks off would be ample...especially if you have a desk job. You won't be at 100% of course, but you should feel more than ready to get back to work by then. I am just three weeks out as of yesterday, and I feel markedly better than I did just this past weekend. Everyday truly gets better.

I am officially back at work at exactly 4 weeks.  I have a desk job but it is long shifts with no breaks.  I work 12 hrs (and have to ask permission to pee  lol)  I feel fine.  I was stiff yesterday but otherwise things are good.  I stood up a few times and stretched.  Sitting for an extended period of time makes my tummy muscles contract to I have to make a conscious effort to stand up straight and stretch.  I was going nuts at home and I am so glad to be back at work.  BUT...  talk to me on Saturday morning after I have worked 2 night shifts and it may be a completely different story  lol.
