Hi Susan,
The holidays and the set back all kind of happened at the same time.  UGH
Hopefully this thing will start to heal soon...right now it is so gross.
Thanks for the note and the well wishes.

Hi Ruth,I am so sorry this is happening to you. You had such great recoveries before and I just figured this one would follow suit. I hope that you are on the road to healing now. I'm so sorry you are in pain. Take the meds if you need to, don't suffer any more than you have to. I hope you feel better soon. Big hugs to you {{{{{{Ruth}}}}}

Hi Renee!
Yep I was fooled into believing I'd have another FANTASTIC recovery since the others and especially the last one went so well.  The surgeon said I jinxed myself because I was posting how easy my TT recovery went....LOL!

Anyhow, I'm taking Aleve and it sort of helps, if I'm still feeling this much pain on Thursday I'll call Arlene and ask for a refill of the good stuff.

Thanks for the big hugs!!

Please take your pain pills if you are in pain.  You should not have to suffer, that's what they are for.  I'm sorry you are having a set back but I'm sure things will only get better from here on out.  Recovery can be a long process sometimes but hopefully once this is all behind you, will be happy with your results!

Take care!!

Hi Melissa,

"once this is behind you"....LOL funny, was the pun intended.... THANKS FOR MAKING ME SMILE!!

Anyhow......like I said I think it's because I was so spoiled and so used to having easy recoveries that I'm mostly shocked how tough this one is.  BUT maybe it's good I experience this so I can really appreciate it when things go well.
Thanks for the note

I'm really sorry to hear this Ruth!! Why did your PS have to open it up? As you know I had a hematoma too, but my PS has been aspirating it weekly as it liquefies. I hope that is it for you and that you are on the road to a great butt!

Hi Martha,
The surgeon had to literally cut it all out...there was a large area of skin that basically died I guess.  Nasty, nasty, nasty.   Now the wound care is so gross....Matthew keeps telling me I do not want to even see it since there is a hole on the cheek that new skin needs to grow and fill in.  Makes me want to vomit thinking about it.  One day I'll take a picture...maybe....
Hope you are healing well.
I read that your drainage has stopped, that's awesome!!

Yikes!! That's terrible! I went in today and there was no aspiration. Just to be sure, I am having an ultrasound next week to make sure that there is no pocket that can't be felt from the surface. I think it is done though!

Get you protein in and heal quickly!!
