Hi there.  when I was in Monterrey a few weeks ago I really enjoyed just laying in bed or at the pool side.  I loved the quiet time.  There were a few other ladies there having surgery so as we all felt better we hung out a lil bit.  There is a shuttle that will take you to various malls etc. but don't over do it.  I watched only two English channels on tv.  HBO and HBO plus.  movies, movies and more movies.  I also had my laptop with me which was so wonderful so I could chat with my boyfriend at home.  If you wanted to get nails done etc. I am sure the people at the hotel front desk will help you with that.  I just wanted to sleep.

Anissa,

I asked about the nail salon a couple weeks ago.  I plan on getting a mani/refill and pedi while I'm there.  My surgery is 2/2 so I figure by the second week, I'll be stir crazy.  I'll let you know what I find out and where I go.

Hi there! There are a few malls in the area. I remember that the Fiesta St Augustine mall had hair and nail salons that looked really clean. Sergio, Dr S's driver, is also a tour guide so if you are up to it he can show you the local sites. Depending on what you are having, you will not want to be gone/on feet more than 2 hours at a time or you will over do it. Believe me, our first outing to the Galleria Mall proved that! All us girls were down for the count by the end of that day.

Anissa,

I believe I saw a nail salon at the mall behind the hotel.  I am not for sure about a regular salon since I washed my hair every morning at the hotel.

You will have a few channels that are in English, and they play a lot of movies that are in English with Spanish subtitles.  Dr S also said there is a movie theater behind the hotel, and the movies are in English with Spanish subtitles, so that would give you something relaxing to do.

I brought the entire series of Twilight books and read all 4 in 3 days.  That kept me busy!
