Hi Barbara,
You got lots of responses but I thought I'd add mine too...I had an LBL and it was 7-10 days before I was up straight...my back ached from being hunched over, that was one of the worst parts of the recovery for me...you'll know when you're ready to stand straight and it may be in smaller increments....Good luck on your ps...

I had a TT with muscle tightening and a BL/BA on 1/16/09 which was a Friday. I was completely bent over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday, my PS told me I could try to straighten up if I wanted to. So I did. Wasn't completely upright until the end of the week, but I was pretty close that first Monday.
Good Luck and remember stay ahead of the pain.

HI Barbara,
I had a circumferential body lift and breast lift on December 11. My doc told me to stay bent over when I walk for the first three days and don't purposefully stretch or bend down for something for at least the first three weeks. I was stiff when I first rose up from a lying or sitting position, but by the time I reached the bathroom (10-15 steps) I was pretty much upright. One piece of advice a nurse gave me that helped: "walk stooped over like an old lady, but look straight ahead like a confident young hottie!" The reason for it is not looking ahead can make you dizzy and nauseated.
Best of luck tomorrow!
