Crap, am I gonna lose my hair again post plastics?
I lost a lot of hair after my RNY, and then had three surgeries within a 6 month period (hernia repair, panniculectomy, and brachioplasty comboned with mons lift) and after the 3rd surgery I lost a significant amount of hair again. Not nearly as bad as the RNY, but enough to be significant and cause me to cut my hair shorter yet again.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Hi Lori,
I didn't have any hair loss, post lapband surgery, but I was only under for about 45 minutes. My circumferential body lift and breast lift on 12/11 resulted in 8.5 hours of general anesthesia. My hair is falling out about 3 times as much as prior to surgery. Both my doc and my stylist tell me it could last 5-6 months. Between still having drains in and losing my hair, I really am going to look like the Borg Queen!

Mahalo Terri- My hope was that even if my hair fell out, my face would be smaller from the weight loss, and so my hair would look THICKER even though there was LESS- my word, the crap we put our brains through!!!!! But I am positive I'm happier wrinkly and bald than cellulite-y and hairy! Happy healing, brave one, I'll be there soon! XOXOLori
