What % of weight loss will cause negative effect on TT, BL/BA surgery?

So I am back to my exact pre-surgery weight which I am happy with since I have not been able to workout like I once did yet. I was concerned that I would gain additional weight since my body wasnt burning the calories as before. I have been able to treadmill at about 2.3mph up to 45 minutes since surgery. Not enough to lose weight. My concern is that when I am cleared to workout similar to presurgery (cardio 3 mornings a week, weight training 3 mornings a week, and 2 aerobic classes a week in the enenings) will I start losing weight since my body is now used to such low calorie burn? I really don't want to lose more weight..just want to lose body fat/gain muscle. But I also LOVE to work out....

Does anyone know about what % of weightloss starts to create a negative result on a TT and/or BL/BA? I may HAVE to refrain from cardio as much...humph :-( if the % is low....

Aloha Tammy-Not sure there is a hard and fast answer to your question. If you feel your metabolic rate has slowed because of the less intense workouts and smaller calorie consumption, you should be able to bump it back up as you return to a more vigorous workout...and up your calories so you don't continue to lose.

In order to gain muscle and lose fat, you need:
-Sufficient protein intake ( to build muscle)
-Sufficient calories (to avoid losing muscle) but cautious simple carb intake ( to avoid constant insulin release which helps fat storage)
-Sufficient workout output ( strength training and cardio)
-Sufficient sleep ( your Growth Hormone is highest during the first 2 hours of sleep- this is whgen you build/repair muscle, and  not sleeping enough stresses your system and ups your cortisol, which is a muscle wasting hormone)

Your concern right now should be to heal and not take it too fast - remember you only get one shot at healing well! I'm dreading the no workout time- I will HATE HATE HATE it- but I also don't want to go through all this and shoot myself in the foot by jumping back too fast. And I suspect my hair will fall out ( AGAIN!) 4 months post op- sheesh.

Be well- XOXOLori
